released with the idea that guitar players could also play bass, this explains the similarity between the first bass and the telecaster guitar

Jazz was the first genre to pick up this bass, lionel Hampton adopted the bass. furthermore, dusty hill from ZZ top is also one of the best example of musicians using this bass and still using it to the present day.
